Valeo history

The company was founded in the beginning of the last century in France, when manufacturing of brake pads has begun. At that time, the company name was SAFF (Société Anonyme Française du Ferodo). The company experienced rapid development, acquiring other companies, which dealt with manufacturing of various car parts, and entered into new markets. In 1980, it was decided to change the name, substituting for name of its Italian branch – Valeo.
